"The Secretions are men of peace in a world of mayhem. They are poets and onanists and bloodsucking freaks. They are punk rock."

Secretions Record a new CD!

Hey kids! Mickie Rat here, reporting live from Pus Cavern Studio in Citrus Heights. The Secretions are in the process of recording their new CD, GREASYHOTMEATCHEEZY! I'm sitting in the control room watching Paul Filthy record the guitar tracks for a new song called back In The Day Punk. This is day two of three days of recording, and we have been working hard on making this new album the best Secretions CD yet! GREASYHOTMEATCHEEZY will have twelve brand spanking new songs and one old favorite. Some of you Secretins have heard a few of the new songs at shows. We haven't yet decided what song will go where on the CD, and we haven't recorded any of the vocals yet. I'm all finished recording the bass tracks though, and Danny has finished doing a killer job on the drum tracks. We're halfway there!

The Secretions will be releasing GREASYHOTMEATCHEEZY on our own label that we call DROOL CITY RECORDS, which has released such punk rock masterpieces such as the Rock N Roll Three Way (featuring Secretions, Ashtray, and Final Summation) and our first seven inch record, entitled simply WE SECRETE YOU SUCK (out of print). GREASYHOTMEATCHEEZY will be out in July 2009, right before The Secretions embark on their west coast summer tour with their friends The Bugs from San Diego (featuring none other than Dangerous Dave from the Queers).

Later this summer, expect a re-release on Drool City Records of The Secretions' two previous CDs, COMING TO SAVE THE WORLD and TIL DEATH on a single CD. This will be sold for the price of one CD, leading us to entitle it "TWO FOR THE PRICE OF HALF."

The Secretions would like to thank everyone who made the recording and release of this album possible, including every single one of you who came to our shows in the last few months, as well as our friends at Anthony's Barbershop and our master of technical wizardry, "Doc" St. James. We couldn't have done this without your help and support. We are thankful to have a punk rock scene like this in Sacramento, please make sure you keep going to shows, any shows, not just ours, so that we can keep it alive and strong.

If you're curious about what it looks like here in the studio, check out some pictures on my Flickr: http://tinyurl.com/GHMCrec

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you at a show!
